About Dommu Asuletta

A delightful child-friendly holiday home, Dommu Asuletta offers versatile self-catering holiday accommodation that sleeps from 2-6 (via two main bedrooms and two bathrooms). It is situated on the corner of a quiet street called Via Bonaria in Bosa, Sardinia. This charming, medieval cobbled street is set in the historical old town (Centro Storico) at the foot of the hill of the town’s presiding castle ‘Castello Malaspina’.

This pretty little street is popular with passing tourists who like to admire and take photographs of the candy coloured houses with hanging plants and pretty balconies. Dommu Asuletta is just enough off the beaten track to enjoy the tranquillity away from the nearby high street (Vittorio Emmanuelle II) while being conveniently close to a wide selection of shops and amenities.

Our town house dates back to the 12th century. It has all the charm and appeal you would expect from an authentic medieval house. When we first discovered it, it had been empty for some years but we have lovingly restored it, decorating with local materials and adding all the modern facilities you need to ensure your holiday break in Sardinia is a comfortable one.

Child friendly and enchanting

Dommu Asuletta is arranged over four floors with quite a few stairs so it may not be the best holiday accommodation for the very elderly or infirm. However, the staircases are fairly narrow and easy to negotiate and we have found them to be perfectly safe for children if you are planning a family holiday. In fact, children and adults alike are enchanted by the quirky appeal of this eccentric house – no wall is straight, and you will need to duck through doorways if you are more than five feet tall. BUT, when all the windows and doors are open, it is bright and cool and a rather wonderful place! If you want to stay somewhere truly individual and interesting then welcome to our Sardinian paradise Dommu Asuletta!

Room by room

Ground floor

The ground floor is where the beach stuff is stored and also the cleaning materials. If you have golf, fishing, wind surfing or other water sports equipment, here is the place to store it.

You will also find the recycling boxes here. Recycling is an important part of life in Bosa so please read the manual when you arrive to understand what you need to do during your stay.

1st Floor

The first floor has a double bed and two single beds (one is a pull-out bed). The room is a good size and well divided, perfect for a couple with two children but less convenient for four sharing adults. There is no balcony in this room and it is only one flight of stairs up to the bathroom.

2nd floor

The second floor contains the bathroom and a small sitting room. The room has a selection of books, games, toys and some CDs.

The 3rd floor

The master bedroom on the third floor enjoys more privacy.  The room has a double bed and also a single bed.

Kitchen / Terrace*

The 4th and final floor is the kitchen and the terrace and it is probably the room where you'll spend the most amount of time. There is a fully fitted kitchen, cooking utensils and everything you need to cook in the Italian style. Even if you plan to eat out for all of your stay, the terrace is the perfect place to start the day with a cappuccino or end it with a relaxing glass of wine. Of an evening, it is the ideal vantage spot to watch the world go by and, if you look up the hill, you can see the Castello Malaspina overlooking the old town.

If you would like to rent our holiday home in Sardinia, but still have some questions regarding its facilities, its locality, the local amenities or anything else for that matter, please do not hesitate to get in contact and we will reply to you quickly.

*Safety note: Please remember never to leave young children unsupervised on the balcony. Although there is a secure railing, it is still safer to make sure young children are never left alone up there.
